If not God, then who?
Every time I get into a spiritual warfare/debate with someone who is demonically influenced the question and answer usually stops when the Lord has me ask a question blatantly calls out what they are beating around the bush to say.
Understand that if it's not God doing something then it has to be someone else, and if it's not you doing something then it has to be the devil if it is not good.
Understand also that this is a very dangerous way of thinking because in this thought process we let the devil have A LOT OF POWER AND AUTHORITY. Claiming that God doesn't do a mighty work, yet the work happened not of your own hands gives the work up to either the devil or if some is completely in delusion they could just blame it on mother nature. Something or someone has to be accomplished, that is why there are courts in heaven, for the judges to sit, judge, and rule the nations in love and accurate discernment.
So again if not God then who? Who is the one who tore down walls of Jericho? Who is the one that caused the flood? Who is the one that split the Sea and then drowned the Egyptians in it? Who is the one that sent the plagues to Egypt?
Again if not God, then who? If we give the devil credit then we give up all authority and power. But what if we see these things in the light of Christ?
The flood in Genesis was a picture of baptism, we are emmersed in water as a sign of being dead to sin, washing the filth off of us and coming back up a new creation, a new earth.
The splitting of the sea to free Israel from bondage and slavery under the Egyptians, again we are baptized showing we are free in Christ from slavery and hard labor.
Jericho's walls falling down, is a picture of our walls falling down when we come to Christ, being open to his love, his encouragement, his life to run through us.
The plagues, a picture of all the torment that we go through when we do not listen to what the Lord says to do in wisdom, love and a pure heart.
So let's stop giving Satan all of our power and authority which has been given to us by God and start asking the Lord to shine his light into things we have a hard time understanding. He wants you to understand who he is and what his love for you is and what your life is all about. He shines, so also should you.
God Bless
