Discernment of The Lord!

Many of us have had those moments where something doesn't sound right or even look right. First of all I encourage you to seek the Lord on these matters because he could be drawing you to learn how to discern in the Godly way.

What is discernment?
Discernment reaches into many aspects of the holy spirit and differentiates between what is holy and what is not. It helps us to know when someone is lying to us or when they are speaking out of a spirit of death.

There are various factors to pull into discernment, 3 of them that have helped me out a lot are the Helmet of Salvation and "being quick to listen and slow to speak" and "out of the belly flows rivers of living water".

We will focus on each of them separately. The helmet of salvation is here for us to know between Godly righteousness and death or the knowledge of good and evil apart from Godliness.
The helmet keeps us safe from ALL deception and knowing what to do and what not to do.
For those of us that are sensitive to the spirit we actually feel the helmet come over our heads when something is not right.

Jesus said, "out of the belly flows rivers of living water". This is the deciding factor of all things Godly when it comes to moving in rest and knowing wisdom and discernment. Those that follow the spirit know about hearing Gods voice from the breath that comes from the belly. We know him from his voice, he is always true. So the helmet comes over us when we hear something false, and when we hear something true, that truth will connect to the breath/river that flows from the belly.

A scripture that has taken me far is to be "quick to listen and slow to speak". This is very wise as it helps put us in a place of patience and true communication in order to help bring people to the truth which is Christ. This works in two ways. 1) we should be quick to listen in normal everyday conversation. Listening to each other, inclining our ear to what exactly theyre saying will not only reveal to you the truth of the situation but also help you to understand where they are speaking from and how you can step in and say what needs to be said while all being led by the holy spirit. 2) being quick to listen to what the lord would have us do in our own walks of life. W listen to what he has to say and we are able to communicate whatever questions we might have in the right way of asking.

In conclusion when discerning the things of God and listening to people, remember that people are not the enemy but they do get attached to enemy influence. God is always for us and never against us. Listen, be aware of the armor of salvation which is Christ and be ready to shine your light in Jesus name.

Be Blessed.
