Gods blessing for those who believe!

The topic of Universalism has been jumping around in my mind recently so I thought id write a blog and try to put it all out on the line.

"I would believe in universalism but i know too much scriptures" -Kirby Delanerolle

A lot of what I have seen in the Universal mindset is that it takes scripture out of context and only focuses on the "all" of that one scripture. This mindset would be fine if lots of other scriptures backed it up by saying that everyone is "godly" but alas God did not do that.

We have to realize that scriptures after Christ rose and ascended were geared to the churches, to people that already believed, or believed and they just needed to get nudged in the right direction. We find all throughout scriptures that it talks about differences between the Godly and the ungodly, why? Because those two still exist even today. One would have to be blind to see someone get raped and think that justice has already been settled for the victim of rape. We have a justice system for a reason.

One could also say that perhaps the universalist tries too hard to think that everything is heavenly without realizing there is no separation between heaven and earth, so we get front row seats at watching/co laboring in the administration of the cross and justice with peace joy and love.

If everyone is already saved, why does paul tell us to stay away from certain ungodly individuals that live in an ungodly way? why stay away from them if they are saved already anyway? I do not let go of the grace of God but we need to realize that the grace of God is here to help us be perfect as our heavenly father is perfect, grace is not a license to say "im saved therefore whatever sin im living in will eventually be taken out/off of me".

"Well being saved isnt about going to heaven". You're right, its about knowing the father, but at the same time adam and eve got kicked out of the garden for not obeying what the father had told them to do. So again if hell isnt real and adam and eve were already saved why would they have gotten kicked out of the garden? With this mindset it is almost as if the universalist are scared of consequences of any kind. I love consequences! Especially the consequences that come with obeying my heavenly Fathers commands, the persecution that comes with it, I rejoice in all of it!

In john cahpeter three. We have the famous 3:16 verse

16For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

18“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

We see that in this passage God makes it very clear that if someone does not believe they are condemned already.

Universalist mindset is that God does not throw his children into hell or condemn. This is accurate because scripture says if we dont believe then we are already condemned. It has nothing to do with God condemning us but us already living in condemnation because we do not believe.

Universalism is bound in hell! This is why they cannot get away from trying to dismiss hell, if it was easy to dismiss hell they would not get mad at those who oppose their beliefs!

I have seen the glory of God. Blessed are those who believe all that the heavenly Father believes.

Universalism is the exact opposite of godliness. You cannot be godly and disagree with God at the same time. Which one of us has ever disagreed with God and walked in peace at the same time?

1 Corinthians is another verse that the universalist will quote to try and justify that everyone is saved.

20But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have [d]fallen asleep. 21For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.

There are key words in this passage that we must take account for. Verse 22 says "even so IN CHRIST. And verse 23, "those who ARE CHRISTS" meaning those that have believed in jesus christ.

The two men on the cross, the perfect example. One mocked the Christ, one asked to be remembered, and only one Jesus spoke to saying today you will be with me in paradise.

God bless those who read this and believe!
