As I started on my walk today I noticed it was getting ready to rain. I at least wanted to get one lap in so i told the rain to hold off for at least one lap. It held off for more than half way, thank God. I had a short discussion(if i can call it that) with a ministry friend the other night on reigning over certain regions when the new earth is here. When Christ comes back what will he give us to reign over? I brought this up. We have a heart garden that we and the spirit of the Lord cultivate together. We water and feed fruits and trees in this heart garden and i dont believe that stops when the new earth comes. Here are my thought on it. I would say that if we are alive when christ comes and he launches the new earth, then what was inside of us will be made manifest outside and we will have dominion over what we have cultivated over the years. Many of us have had those moments where something doesn't sound right or even look right. First of all I encourage you to seek the Lord on these matters because he could be drawing you to learn how to discern in the Godly way. What is discernment? Discernment reaches into many aspects of the holy spirit and differentiates between what is holy and what is not. It helps us to know when someone is lying to us or when they are speaking out of a spirit of death. There are various factors to pull into discernment, 3 of them that have helped me out a lot are the Helmet of Salvation and "being quick to listen and slow to speak" and "out of the belly flows rivers of living water". We will focus on each of them separately. The helmet of salvation is here for us to know between Godly righteousness and death or the knowledge of good and evil apart from Godliness.
